To all JKA Members throughout Australia & New Zealand,
In the tradition of the SA/Vic Combined Championships, which were staged throughout the 80's and 90's, JKA Victoria & SA's Honbu Dojo are proudly working together to resurrect this tradition, and re-establish this exciting opportunity for our members.
Additionally, we plan to share this experience with members of our wider JKA Community.
It gives me great pleasure to invite all members of the Japan Karate Association from throughout Australia and New Zealand, to travel to Adelaide, South Australia, and take part in the Inaugural ‘JKA Southern Cross Cup, Karate Championships’.
These championships will be held at the Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre, in the inner southern suburbs of Adelaide, from the 6 th to the 9 th of June, 2008.
We are privileged to have Nishimura Sensei as the Chief Instructor, and Head Referee for this event, and look forward to his seminar, as always.
The Southern Cross Cup is a Club-based, Grass-roots Tournament. Whilst competing at an individual level – all individual medal results are counted on a medal tally. The Club with the highest Medal Tally Points will win the Southern Cross Cup.
“You fight for your club’s history, your seniors & your fore-bearers”.
Please share this invitation with your members, and encourage them to attend.
We look forward to seeing you all at our tournament.
Oss & regards,
Dion Risborg
Tournament co-ordinator.
